Capacity is the deciding purchase
QuickDraw’s lighter starting sets can expand to 60 lb. That is the end of the system. PÉPIN’s Australian 42.5 kg pair reaches substantially further before any kit is added. For heavy rows or presses already near QuickDraw’s ceiling, choose PÉPIN at the outset. For lighter work, spare capacity has no effect on the usefulness of today’s set.

The small weight changes still involve handling plates
QuickDraw uses visible steel switches for the main plates. Its micro-weights provide intermediate loads, although using only one creates slight side-to-side imbalance. PÉPIN uses selectors in 5 kg steps, with micro-plates for finer changes. A selector system does not remove every manual adjustment; choose the one whose steps suit the exercises you repeat.
An Australian offer changes the practical comparison
Gym and Fitness lists the 42.5 kg PÉPIN pair in Australia. The QuickDraw package linked here comes from REP’s US listing, so the product price needs a delivered quote before it can be compared with the local pair. Both need an accessible place for their cradles; QuickDraw is 47 cm long at its full setting.
Spend to remove a real limit. Keep a current adjustable set that still provides the loads and changes you need. If choosing PÉPIN, start at 42.5 kg unless the heavier kits are already required. The ability to expand later is useful precisely because the entire range need not be bought on day one.
